Application and Enrolment for International Students

Step-by-Step Guide to Enrolling at Nelson Aviation College

Required Documentation

To enrol at NAC, please complete the Training Registration Form and submit the following documents (all documents must be provided in English):

• Certified copy of your passport
• Copies of academic results
• Copies of any previous aviation exam/licence passes (if applicable)
• Names and contact details of two non-family character referees
• Copy of your English IELTS Score or equivalent (for ESL students)
• Copies of your Criminal History and Land Transport Traffic Offence Reports
• Copy of your NZ CAA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate (required for acceptance)
• Copy of your ADAPT© Pre-screening Assessment result (unless holding a NZ PPL or only enrolling in PPL)
• A CV outlining your employment history

Course Selection Interview

Once your application and documentation are reviewed, you will be invited to attend a course selection interview:

Outside NZ
A Skype interview and aptitude testing are required.

Residing in NZ
You will be required to attend an onsite interview, including aptitude testing and a panel interview.

Timing
Interviews are scheduled twice per year (April & October for English as a First Language CPL entry; January & July for English as a Second Language PPL entry).

Onsite Interview Details
Please allow a minimum of three hours on-site at the Motueka Aerodrome base. Motueka is a 40-minute drive from Nelson Airport—please plan travel accordingly. Bring photographic proof of identity and any flight experience documentation (e.g., logbook).

Applications must be submitted at least two months prior to the course start dates.

Acceptance and Commencement

Students are advised of their acceptance within two weeks of the interview.

Upon a successful offer, you must pay your course fees to secure your place and initiate the visa process.
