Instrument Rating Theory (IR)

About the Course

The Instrument Rating Theory is offered two times per year and is completed as a four-week block course or it can be spread over the two intakes. Two subjects, Law and Instruments and Navigation Aids are taught during the morning sessions and Navigation is taught in the afternoon each day.

Course Outline

This is a four-week course. Three subjects are completed at a time as follows:

  • Law

  • Navigation

  • Instruments & Navigation Aid

Course Fees

Domestic Students: $4,722 NZD

Student Loan funding is not available for this course.

Course costs include all tuition, course notes and initial exam fees. Textbooks and equipment not included.
