Nelson Aviation College is proud to recognise the achievements of its 39 graduates in the Class of 2026. These students have completed demanding training programmes and demonstrated the focus and commitment required to move forward in their aviation careers.

It was a privilege to share such a memorable occasion with our graduating students, their families and friends, staff, and invited guests.

A special acknowledgement is extended to the recipients of the 2026 Special Awards, which recognise excellence across flying performance, academic achievement and our core values. These awards reflect not only strong technical capability, but also integrity, professionalism, and the attitudes that underpin a strong safety culture.

Congratulations to:

Georgie Gillespie (2026 Best All-Round Flying Performance and NAC Core Values Award)
Matthew Robins and Craig Liddington (2026 Best All-Round Academic Performance)
Abigail Carter (Walter Wagtendonk Trophy)

Our sincere thanks to our Guest Speaker, Ross Shaw, whose address was both engaging and inspiring for the 120 guests in attendance. His reflections on leadership, responsibility, and professionalism resonated strongly and added real depth to an evening that was a highlight of the year.
We congratulate the Class of 2026 and wish them well as they begin their new chapters both in New-Zealand and internationally.
